Getting started

Sign in with your Google account, then tell Luna whether you're learning yourself or setting up Luna for someone else. Learners 13 and under need a parent or guardian to create their own Luna account first and invite them.

Linking a parent and learner

Parents: open Settings, then Linked accounts, and choose Link a learner account.
Enter the learner's email address. We email them an invitation.
The learner accepts by signing in to Luna with that Google account. Or, if they're with you, enter the six-digit code from the email instead.
Check the learner's details and approve their account.

Invitations last seven days. You can resend or cancel an invitation from Settings. A parent can disconnect the link from Settings at any time, and so can a learner who's older than 13.

Reminders aren't arriving

Check your reminder days, time and type in Settings, then Reminders.
Reminder notifications come from the iPhone and iPad app. If you turned notifications off, open your device's Settings, choose Luna, then Notifications, and turn on Allow Notifications.
If you chose email reminders, check your spam folder.

Camera and microphone

Luna asks to use your camera and microphone for tutoring sessions, and your camera or photos for Homework help. If you said no earlier, you can change it in your device's Settings under Luna, or in your browser's site settings.

Deleting an account

Open Settings, then Privacy and account, and choose Delete account. Your account and learning history are deleted straight away.
If your account is linked to a parent or learner, disconnect them first. Disconnecting doesn't delete the other person's account.
Parents can delete a linked learner's account from that learner's page in Settings.

Privacy requests and safety

To ask for a copy of your information, correct it, or withdraw consent for a child, email support@heyluna.com from the address on your Luna account. If you see something unsafe or inappropriate in Luna, tell us at the same address. Read more in our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.
